That's right, give us a story in exactly ten words. To qualify as a story, the work must have at least one character, in relationship to something or someone, and there must be a transformation/transition of some kind (no one-liners--snappy sayings whose only raison d'etre is to be a punchline--send those to your favorite stand-up comedian, please!). Irony and a sense of humor work well in this form, but we have also read excellent ten-worders that are deadly serious, wistfully romantic, or old-fashioned horrific.
